ISLAMABAD: An important meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) will be held on its 12-point agenda, chaired by financial advisor Abdul Hafeez Shaikh on Wednesday (Tomorrow), said ARY News.
The ECC leaders will meet in their upcoming session tomorrow to discuss the 12-point agenda.
The Committee would review the margin of oil marketing firms (OMCs) on petroleum products, the margin of dealers and the exemption from Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the duty of customs on ship imports.
It is appropriate to mention here that it was recommended that the Economic Committee increase the margin of OMCs on petrol and hi-speed diesel up to 0.25 paisas.
In addition, an increase in the dealer’s margin for petrol and hi-speed diesel up to 0.34 paisas and 0.29 paisas respectively is also recommended.
A summary of over Rs1 billion dues on Karachi Port Trust (KPT) against the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and gas supplies to Habibullah Coastal Power Company is likely to be presented before the ECC members. The Economic Coordination Committee will also review various summaries for the human rights and health ministries ‘ supplementary grants.
