Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme Nawaz Sharif himself decided to receive medical treatment abroad because of his critical condition of health, his daughter Maryam Nawaz announced to media on Friday.
The daughter of the former PM and leader of PML-N, Maryam Nawaz, spoke to the media soon after reports of his father’s decision to fly abroad hit news headlines and said the family could not risk the health and well-being of the patriarch and therefore decided to send him abroad.
Maryam Nawaz added that, because of her name on the Exit Control List (ECL), she would not be flying out with Nawaz Sharif.
“Shehbaz Sharif looks after all the former Premier’s boarding and lodging, having lost my mother last year, my dad is now all of me,” a confused Maryam said.
The vice president of the PML-N, who was released on bail recently, maintained that politics was an ongoing process and would continue, but her primary concern was the health of Nawaz Sharif and no agreement will be reached on the issue.
Before that, a statement by a private news media organization reported that the supreme Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had decided to travel abroad because of his health problems.
In view of the reports from the doctors, the government is likely to remove the name of Nawaz Sharif from the Exit Control List (ECL), said the study.
On Wednesday, Sharif had arrived at his residence at Jati Umra in Lahore where a specialist intensive care unit (ICU) was built for his treatment.
